The Martial Mindset

An award winning dancer as a child, I was always curious about energy and the mind. Even the dancing was a whole being experience, and this later developed into a love of the martial arts. Bruce Lee incidentally was a Cha-Cha-Cha dance champion before he became a martial art legend! Through studying the history and training traditionally in various forms of Kung-Fu and later in the Korean arts of Tae-Kwon-Do and Hapkido, I developed the mental discipline and tenets of Tae-Kwon-Do into a way of life and a code for living. This discipline then grew into a mindset I incorporate into life, and something I use as a way of being. It has developed into a meditative, ki-breathing movement and seated practice. It was by combining all I learnt and finding meaning in messages, that led me to become a World Champion and train/coach others to become champions themselves. In this interactive session I will share the tenets of Tae-Kwon-Do , how they have shaped my life and how they could shape yours. We will journey into the world of Ki and Ki-breathing as a practical breathing exercise and complete with a mindful visualisation meditation to enhance personal power, a deeper sense of self and create our own martial mindset along the way.
